Hockey fans’ style

Canada-Russia hockey match will close out the preliminary round of the 2019 IIHF World Junior Championship at Rogers Arena in Vancouver on Monday, December 31, 2018, at 5 pm.

According to the information released by Hockey Canada, the international tournament will be co-hosted by Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC, and Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, BC, on December 26, 2018 – January 5, 2019. Games of Group A which consists of Canada, the Chez Republic, Russia, Switzerland and Denmark are scheduled for Victoria, while Group B made up of Sweden, the United States, Finland, Slovakia and Kazakhstan will play in Vancouver. All quarter-finals, semifinals and the gold-medal game will be held in Vancouver.

Canada-Russia rivalry is seen by the press as a most likely decisive match which will define the winner of Group A.
