Grand Philharmonic Choir from Kitchener, ON, will perform their program Music to Make the Spirit Soar at Jaani Kirik Concert Hall in St. Petersburg on July 11, 2018, free of charge.
According to the information published by St. Petersburg media sources, 32 Canadian singers will present their choral music under maestro Mark Vuorinen, recipient of many awards and artistic director of the choir. The performance will include compositions of famous Canadian and Russian composers, classic masterpieces of Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms, together with the music of some Baltic composers which is a point of Vuorinen’s research interest.
